Mannequin update

Bill's lovely lady has been busy since I last saw her. She's got some new tats, a manicure, and apparently has been working as a nude helmet model. For some reason, I felt these shots deserved a vintage look.

Happy Father's Day

This week's post is a tribute to my husband. He's a wonderful, doting father. The kind of dad who drops everything to race his girl to the doctor when her school calls with the news that she's got an acorn stuck up her nose. The kind of dad who shaves his face because his daughter tells him his kisses are 'too pokey'. The kind of dad who (as I told Chloe the other day) will ruin her on men. Because one day, long from now, she will realize just how special her daddy is and how hard it will be to find a guy like him.
This is my new favorite picture of C and C.

This picture was taken right before her K3 end-of-the-year performance. I love the sweet, genuine pose and the fact that they are both looking at the camera! However, the lovely brick wall was not the original background. I'm including a 'before' shot below to show how much work went into this photo. I should have just moved them a couple of feet to the right, but when all else fails...photoshop!

Keiko's Photoshoot

My friend Tracy has a beautiful 13 year old girl named Keiko. I had the honor of photographing her last weekend and even though she wasn't feeling 100% (she had an inner ear problem) she was a perfect model.

I had to post the black and white version of this because I love it so.

This is her "Have you no more hot dogs for me?" look

I wear my Barbie glasses at night

This weekend was a bust. LAME - We didn't go anywhere and the only shots I took were of Chloe playing with a Barbie birthday party invite. The pose was her idea and I'm lucky I even got this shot. This was the best of the three I managed to snap off before she got mad and told me I was taking too many pictures. Three is too many?!? Poor kid has no idea what is in store for her for the rest of her life. I can't decide whether this pic is funny or creepy. Either way, I like it.

Barefoot Week

This week is "Barefoot Week", a non-competition week over at iHeartFaces. The photos can be anything around shoes and feet. But more importantly, they're helping to promote a great charity called Soles4Souls.

Ironically, I took this picture the day before I saw the theme. It's an image of what two pre-schooler feet look like after playing in the backyard in the summer. It reminds me of my own childhood and the summers I spent with my cousins in Missouri.

Blueberry Picking

I have always wanted to go blueberry picking. For Chloe's birthday weekend extravaganza, we finally did. Blue Bayou Farms is a great place to not only pick blueberries ($4/lb.), but to enjoy some pastries or German food from the bakery next door. The blueberries are 100% organic, so you can eat as you're picking and not have to worry about consuming any nasty chemicals. There is nothing like warm, juicy, hand-picked blueberries. Nothing. Plus, on Sundays they have free pony rides. Can this place get any better?!?

They are not really radioactive blue, that's just me getting squirly with photoshop...

This is what they really look like. Yum. (Chloe's fingernails courtesy of OPI's new Shrek colors)

They are so ripe, they're literally falling off the bushes

This is what happens when no one picks them. Do you want that on your conscience? Do you?!?
